OUR STORY

Meet the sisters next door.

Tutor Next Door was founded by Ashwini, a high schooler in Monroe Twp, NJ, with her younger sister Naina helping from day one. It all started with what Ashwini needed as a kid.

When I was younger, it was hard to find a tutor who could actually help me. I jumped from group classes, tutoring schools, and private mentors each year. In the end, it was my family who was able to guide me, because they actually understood me.

For the past two years, I’ve been tutoring younger kids myself. I plan something new every week to make it click, and I’ve experienced how much it means to have someone patient on your side.

Many tutoring services are so focused on growing their business that they lose sight of their students. That’s why I started Tutor Next Door, to give more kids the supporting and understanding community I had.
